Japan Impact Festival in Lausanne

I sang at the Japan Impact Festival on the 15th of February with the Horizons Orchestra from Fribourg. Since I really love Studio Ghibli films, I truly enjoyed this concert, and singing in Japanese was a special challenge.
This was already my third concert with this ensemble that is especially close to my heart. Both the group and this concert program were one of the big surprises of 2024 for me—getting to know them and performing music I had never imagined singing before.
I really enjoyed performing these sentimental, even somewhat kitschy pieces, and I felt it was pretty cool to be able to move between different musical worlds.
